I give this book a 4.5. Love the author's style of writing, love the character development. This book flowed so well I read it all in one setting, going to pay for it in the morning. My only minor complaint, and the reason for the .5, is that there were grammatical errors sprinkled here and there. Luckily, the story line more than made up for it! Looking forward to the next book in the series!
I loved the story line this would make a great movie...Troys and Aria's characters were so believable...even when they broke up. The grammatical errors were annoying but the characters saved you.....The sister girlfriends were on point but not over done like some books they were real down to earth friends that you make you think about your friends and everyone should have friends like these. Also it was nice that the back stories did not over shadow the main story Ms. Ashley is a must read!!!! Happy reading
Well written and enjoyable story. Tory is such a sweetheart. He is one of my favorite characters of AshleyNicole. Aria did grate on my nerves at times. Looking forward to the next installment. I hope there is more to come for their story.
I got into the characters and enjoyed everyone's interaction . Relationships can be trick to maneuver throughout that compromise and patiences come in to play. The heroine had a few issues which had to be handled. Her support gave sage advice and she listened (most don't). I liked the book wished it was longer. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
Oh yeah! I love this! I was not ready! I love the character development of Tory and Aria. I really enjoyed it. Very very good read! Kudos AshleyNicole!
I recently discovered this author a few months back and have read all of her books. I applaud the way she develops each character, the realness of the situations they experience and how each are willing to be vulnerable to go to the next step. Having said that, Aria got on my nerves!!! Her stubbornness and deep need to always be in control could have cost her a lot. Hopefully she will get it together in the other books since this ending left things with Tory a bit unfinished.
This was a good book but had a few areas of challenged execution. As another reviewer pointed out, Tory was a tad bit too perfect. It would have been nice if at least one flaw was identified but he was the total antithesis of someone his age and occupation. However, I did like him. One aspect about him that I could have absolutely done without was the thumb-sucking. Not sure why the author thought that was necessary but that was difficult hump for me to get over and take serious. I was turned off reading it, so I can't imagine or relate to the heroin thinking it was so cute. Finally, my only other issue was the loose end with her mother's move (if in fact she did move) and the rushed ending. Why go through the climatic break-up to have the make-up as anti-climatic as it was--it just didn't feel organic. Oh, one other thing--I think the assault details took a sharp turn for sadistic with the long nails/mutilation details--that too felt unnecessary. The trauma of the assualt in and of itself was sufficient for the reader to understand Aria's issues but added layer of the scarring and damage due to Khalid's nails was a bit over the top to me and again, unnecessary.
It's so important that people get to the root of their problem. People like to judge situations from the surface. Not to give too much a way, this was a good read. It had lots of grammatical errors though.
