This short ebook has some very good and basic ideas in helping the new songwriter to get started. My main reason for only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish it had been longer. I enjoyed the book and it was quite easy to read and understand his suggestions.
If you think you have some innate talent for writing melodies, lyrics, chord progression or entire songs, then as you flip through the pages of this book it will seem to tie together thoughts and elements that you had some ethereal grasp of, but never quite codified in your mind. Along those same lines, the book will also help you begin to think critically about the music to which you are currently listening
this book was an excellent guide for writing my first couple of songs. helpful? very much indeed! it shows little tips or suggestions that i believe make my songs more exciting. the book helps you on the title, on getting started, on the verses, chorus,bridge, and much more! i totally recommend this book!!
This book was NO hep whatsoever! And he said in it that Taylor Swift's song I Knew You Were Trouble was bad because it didn't provide "answers" you don't need to know who EVERY song is about and I Knew You Were Trouble is the 2nd most popular song in the Red album!
