Spurgeon is one of the greatest preachers of all times, and his writings deserve five stars. This edition, alas, is riddled with typographical errors.The form of every "'quotation mark'" is merely odd.Other punctuation marks show up at random where they don't belong (for instance, periods immediately before a word in the middle of a sentence). Since 19th-century authors observed different standards of punctuation than we do, it's hard to know sometimes if an oddity is a typo or a correct transcription of Spurgeon's text. Sometimes questionable punctuation can make a subtle difference in meaning.There are plenty of misspelled words or wrong words, too.Most of the it's obvious what the word should be. Sometimes the word on the page makes no sense in context, but it is not at all clear which word Spurgeon actually wrote. It's hard enough for the modern reader to parse the long sentences and paragraphs that were standard in 19th-century prose without having to wonder about the punctuation or what a word ought to be.I don't suppose there is any way to publish a facsimile of a printed book as a Kindle book. In any case, someone typed Spurgeon's text--and then neglected proofreading. 99¢ for an accurate transcription of this text would be a bargain. Until someone goes through it with a fine tooth comb to correct all the typos, the low price may be more than this edition is really worth.A table of contents would be helpful, although I can easily enough make my own by highlighting each verse. I do appreciate the use of color, bold, and italics.

I just opened this book in my Kindle app on IPad and there is no table of contents to go to particular verses. I had to do a search to get to the "He" stanza starting at verse 33. All books need a table of contents.I don't have a problem with the actual book by Spurgeon.
I am a sucker for classics like Spurgeon. He is ledgenary for me and his commentaries an sermon notes are fabulous. I only wish I could have actually met him and talked to him.
Great source of knowledge and verse by verse exegesis. The price can't be beat!As with most free/$1 Kindle books there are some strange capitals/punctuation/spellings mistakes.It is in rather old English as well, but still perfectly understandable.
CHS does an excellent rendering of the 119 Psalm. Again the meaning the doctrine the application, He is a master at explaining God's Word
